TRhe way we were living was not sustainable – we have to start thinking about the bigger picture. I for one, am happy about the recession as we were living a delusion before. Bring on the good life!

It’s not a good thing, but it was necessary to correct the unsustainable path we were on.

Not really a "good thing", but a darn good lesson. It’s a shame that people had to get into a very tight place before they learned the valuable lesson of tightening up their wallets and crazy lavish spending. Now many are learning to look for sales. Many are learning how to stretch their money. Many are learning that it’s much cheaper to cook a crock pot of nutritional meals at home for their families, that will last for a couple of days. Many are learning to save rainy day money. So all of that is very good. Some of us were already doing these things though. But it’s still good to see others wise up. And I just love all the super bargains out there right now! I wish they would stay around lol. But I know that they won’t. : (

Ask families whose homes are in default or people with a future put on Hold, because they now are unemployed. I’m not a victim of the recession, but I pity the millions who are.

It is all part of the cycle – let’s hope that the lesson will be learnt….Pinky’s called it absolutely right….

Yes, because maybe others that have placed use in this position will learn the values of money and not to waste. Appreciate what you have and stop having the need to "keep up with the Joneses". However, it not very good for those that have always been keeping within their means to the point where we find things very difficult because of other peoples greed.

I have no sympathy for those that have overspent, its not rocket science what the consequences are. Luxuries are going on holiday and having enough money to save, buying clothes when you need them and going out to dinner because its your birthday. In the long run, l hope it will make people much better and appreciative of what they have.
