Ananya is the first in line of a series of hybrid vehicles being designed and fabricated by students of Sardar Vallabhai National Institute of Technology, Surat, Gujarat, India. Completed in March 2009, Ananya is the first student built hybrid race vehicle. It is a series drive hybrid and is a precursor to the things yet to come, Ananya is a milestone of the SVNIT Hybrid Racing Vehicle Programme. The vehicle is soon to be followed by a more powerful parallel drive hybrid vehicle, Avni in 2010. Keep yourself updated on the HRVP at www.svnit.ac.in/hrvp
