The state of California is getting in on the act with what might be the mother of all garage sales. Forklift loads of “stuff” is getting set out for the great California garage sale. It’s not the first state garage sale but it is probably the biggest — with promises of great savings. “It’s a good opportunity for folks to come in, especially in this economy, and buy something they really need,” said Eric Lamoureux of the Department of General Services, which is conducting the garage sale.
